Amp whine
Right guys, I'm getting pi**ed off here now. I've just replaced and re-routed my amp, ensuring that no 'sound' leads came anywhere near the power leads and I'm still getting a high pitched whine which rises in time to the revs. Any suggestions?

High pitch whine will be the interference from the alternator. It could be the supression capacitor in it that is knackered. Not sure if it can be replaced individually (although a alternator recon specialist will be able to tell you).
It could also be picking the whine via your head unit - does it still whine with the all the RCAs disconnected?

Had a similar problem
Was some lead ends connected to the amp touching metal and causing interference!!
Suspect its bad wiring or connections somewhere - thats the most likely cause
