Default Can I play dvds with mp3s recorded on them?

Hi all,

just a quick question which i am not sure you will know the answer to but worth a try.

I have a pioneer avh7500dvd.

This is the touchscreen lcd with a dvd player built it.

It says it plays dvd roms, and it plays cd roms and mp3s.

In the instructions, it refers to playing mp3 files recorded on to cd roms.

I would like to know if it will play mp3 files recorded on to a dvd r or rw, but there is no mention of this in the instructions.

People say try it, but I don't own the dvd recorder yet, and I will only buy it if this is going to work.

Has anyone tried this?

also, is there a specific type of dvd rom that will be more likely to work, I am told most things are done on DVD-R.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
