Hello,

Wanting to change our audio installation in a 2003 WRX. Please, anybody knows what is the maxium size of speakers we can buy for front and rear speakers ?

And if you've any advice, thanks in advance for them.

got a classic and was told 16.5 in front, which fit, cause i put some in

 

I have 16" in the front of my 2003 WRX with some spacers (designed to fit a Corsa of all things). However 13" would fit in the front with no issues. I also have the tweeters fitted in the Subaru positions without the speaker covers etc but they are hidden anyway. Doors are a bit deeper at the back as far as I remember.

Look in the last issue of True Grip, the SIDC magazine (not the newest one) - there is a guide to replacing the standard SH*T speakers. This newest issue is a guide to replacing the head unit.

I hope you mean 16cm not 16"........you wouldnt have much room for a door if they were 16 inches!

I must have been thinking about a typical Lax Power install there - although why should I stop at 16 inches - why not go for 16 foot wide speakers.

Never mind door build - build a new feckin door to suit them!!!! Out of Iron no less.
