www.dension.com (relaunch soon!) for ideas on head units and add ons to head units.

Phatnoise/MusicKeg is a tad pricey for storage IMO and navigation is poor
Alpine HDA540 is beautiful but very tad pricey
Sony MEX1HD is too restrictive.

Some users here have Dension DH100 head unit and may be able to pass comment.

Cheapest was the Mstation but that doesn't integrate with any h/u and Traxaudio went belly up a while ago.

Dension (add on) integrates "common functions" and pretends to be a CD changer. There's a wired remote for complex stuff.

Phatnoise - You'll have to import it, pretends to be a CD changer. (NOTE: some usability quirks based on ARTIST / ALBUM etc). See www.phatnoise.com for applications etc. Biggest cartridge size is 60gig. Speaks to you as you navigate the disk ISTR...!?

Kenwood Music Keg - is a Kenwood licenced phatnoise box.

Best one IMO is the one that integrates seamlessly with the h/u that works with steering wheel/column mounted controls.

Jeremy.
