Question MP3 Players transferrable between cars

Does anyone do something like the Denison MP3 player as seen in the Scoobyshop only you can plug it into your head unit and easily transfer to another car (as I have two cars)?

On the scoob I have one DIN unit with a head unit and the other is taken up by the secs monitor so the above is not suitable for me.

Also it would be good if the device could be used as a personal MP3 player making it nice and compact and portable.

any pointers if any such device exists?

thanks in advance,

Damian.

Dension also make the ice>Link:iPod - an interface that translates CD changer commands into iPod remote commands.

What head unit(s) do you have?

I don't have the head units yet. I was going to see if anything fitted my above criteria and then buy the appropriate head units.

For what you want, it sounds like the iPod with link is exceedingly neat

Thanks for replies guys,

Looks like the i-pod is the ideal solution and also can be used in the house through stereo, computer and stand alone.

Just need to find two head units now which offer the CD input and MP3 capability without buying a changer. I would like a head unit which would bring up the details of the track on the head unit facia, getting that info from the i-pod of course.

Any suggestions on this?

Don't really want to be spending a lot on the head unit though, say £150 each tops (I have to buy two)

Damian.

You can get a n FM Modulator gizmo that allows you to plug in an mp3 player /minidisc player etc , and it plays it through your head unit through the tuner (plugs into the ariel socket ) ,Something like this ....http://www.raysmith.co.uk/FMModulator.htm

Or Dension do a Hard disk / tuner in one (might work out a bit expensive for 2 though ) DH-100 ... http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/...ges/index.html

12Lee,

Spill the beans then. Why wait a couple of weeks?
