Default Shorted speakers ?

Just happened. Got no sound from any of the speakers running off the headunit. Would a short in one speaker affect all four? It's been running fine up to now...

Otherwise it's a headunit fault, I guess....

A short could take out the amp in the h/u, but most things have some form of protection. Try removing the power/reset button if the thing has one.

Have you accidentally turned off the internal amp? Have alook through the settings.

Well, took out the speakers - looks like one of the terminals was shorting against Dynamat. I'm surprised that it knocked out all the speakers, that's all. Must be internal protection indeed. Nevermind, all sorted.

Cheers for the replies chaps
