They're on sale on car audio direct, very tempted by one. Does anyone know what the MP3 playback is like, especially selecting folders, searching for songs, pause inbetween tracks etc...

Had one for about 8 months, top bit of kit.
Just burn cds with as you would to play them on any mp3 playback device (pc, dvd player, etc) you can either navigate folders using the menu system, which shows folder names, etc, or you can skip folders in the same way as you skip tracks, at the touch of a button. MP3 playback is superb, never EVER skipped. Also plays WMA files, which I believe are compressed a bit more than mp3 files, so more tracks on a cd!!! Takes a second or so to fill the read buffer when first switched on, but then playback is continuous.
The bottom (control) panel folds out when the unit's switched on, and it's position can be altered via the menu system. Nice bright hi-res display, although the spinny swirly graphics get on yer t!ts after a while. I tend to just have the display showing folder / track / time and a small speccy analyser.
All in all, superb.

Can you have it playing with the facia folded up or does that sorta stop the menu system from working? The girlfriend went "ewww, don't like that" when I showed it to her!!
