Hi folks,
I'm thinking of getting the Sony MP40 head unit. I've seen the thing in the shops, and have read a few positive comments on ScoobyNet too. They seem cracking value.

Anyway - the best prices seem to be Empire Direct and Cel-Direct and they won't fit the unit. I don't mind having a crack at fitting it if it's easy enough. What's involved? I'm happy with taking the dash apart, and am not a complete muppet with wiring (sorted Defis, Knocklink, etc). I imagine that there's some sort of wiring conversion to the Impreza stereo loom, right? What's the low-down?

Cheers...

Take a look here for some general info. You will need an autoleads PC2-44-4 adaptor - about £10.

Thanks for the reply . My car is MY00, not MY03. Does that make a difference to the adapter?

Connecting leads with a connector is easy enough, its getting the unit into the dash thats the problem. Maybe someone willhelp you out?? I'm of little use on that point.
