my mate is upgrading his base setup and got him self
pioneer s-w305c 12" subs x 2
(800 w max,impendance 4 oms sensativaty 89 db/w freequency sresponce 18- 2000 hz)
can any one recomend a good amp to power both these subs and he has been told a power cap would help things but which one
and finally any one know any discount ICE stores on the net

2 subs in parallel would give 2 ohm resistance. therefore he needs an amp that will pump out a bit, plus be able to drive a 2 ohm load safely.... check out white scooby's genesis monoblock that would work a treat. power cap only needed if he's running 2 or more amps loud, this just retains power to cope with surges so his headlamps won't dim when the subs pound.
