what size are the front speakers in classics?

hi everyone
I really want to change the speakers in my car, done the rears they were easy but the fronts are not quite as easy, does anyone know the true size so I can get some,was thinking about kicker, alpine or rockford fosgate....?

the front speakers(classic )are 16cm.not 16.5 or 17cm.
16cm are available but are classed as direct replacement.
They are also fitted to other jap cars ie hondas,toyotas nissans etc.
The best bet is to change the plastic moulded speaker housings to the larger 16.5cm size,this size speaker is more common.
Halfords offer a direct replacement to allow bigger speakers in the front doors.
seperat mids and tweeters sound good .
recomendv JBL.
