I'm in the market to upgrade my existing system. Currently I have Alpine head unit (4 x 45w), 2-way door mounted speakers(220w) with tweeters (although I'm not sure they're connected) and 6"x9" 3-way(100w) on the parcel shelf.

I'm looking to get amps and a sub woofer in an enclosure in the boot and keep most of the existing stuff (although I'm not sure that 3-way speakers are best for the parcel shelf??)

I'm competent at fitting such things - but have no idea of what kit to go for - and I'm looking to keep the cost reasonable (say £600) and would like something that I can upgrade again easily in the future - when I have the time, I would like to make a custom fit unit, etc.

So can anyone help??

What makes should I go for and what size of sub will fit easily in the boot - without taking up all the space? Also should I go for 2 amps - say a 4 channel for the internal speakers and a 2 channel for the subs and would I be better with 2 subs than one (even 2 enclosures).

Does anyone have pics of their install to post???
