right here goes..the wife owns a VW Beetle new shape (yuk)and wants a CD changer added to the existing radio cassette..VW tell me that there is already a lead preinstalled in the boot and just requires the changer to be connected?

Can anyone shed any light on this?
Does anyone know exactly where in the boot the lead is?
What is the best cd changer to buy that is suitable??

cheers in advance

2 litre Beetles are prewired. 1.6 are not. The connector is rectangular with IIRC 12 pins in two rows of 6. Probably hidden behind one of the side trim panels.

For good value, purchase a Sony T69 6-disc changer (or T70 if you want mp3) and a Connects2 adaptor. Feel free to ping me for adaptor part numbers and possible deals.
