Just spent ALL day wiring my amp in! Also did rear door speakers in a MY97 Wagon. I've upgraded to 5.25" 3 way Sony Xplods I used a 10mm MDF collar to fit in original plastic cowlings and these fouled on the grilles and door trim. I tried them with just the collars and trim is OK but still foul on grilles, so as temporary measure I've just took the grilles off (darkness closing in!). My Sony grilles don't cover hole.
Also any suggestions re stopping my speakers becoming sponges! On the front we put clear plastic over top half of speakers as again we had to ditch the cowlings! But will I have any trouble with vibrations of said plastic. As you can see I am a complete NOVICE!! but I am enjoying meself when I stop cursing!
