Recently got myself a sub and amp and was wondering how have any of you guys n gals secured the sub box in the boot, cos I hate it moving around and I've already pulled the speaker cable out once flooring it in 1st. Woops...

Thanks for any suugestions you can give...

Strongly! That thing could be a hell of a hazard in an accident!

The bare minimum would be to strap it down well. Some people here have secured subs by bracing them with packs of adjustable feet that are designed for kitchen cabinets.

I'd go belt and braces, and bolt the thing to the floor.

That's what I was thinking - couple of brackets on the corner of the box and bolt the other half to the deck of the boot.

That's absolutely the best way. A simple way (sorry for not mentioning this earlier - wasn't thinking) is to cut a piece of MDF to use as a "false floor" that can't move, and bolt the box to that.

If you bolt to the metal, make sure that you're nowhere near brake lines, fuel lines and the fuel tank
