I'm looking at replacing the MY03 head unit also.
The one I keep looking at is the Pioneer 77MP (plays Mp3's etc), I like it because it looks simple - no flashy displays & gismo's.
MCS direct are selling it at £229.00
But then it'll be a speaker change, that doesn't look a straight forward choice - any suggestions ?

If you can stretch a little further I can't recommend the Alpine 9812RB highly enough, I have one myself, its got all the usual, 4*60watts, 3 preouts at 4 volt each, subwoofer control from the head unit and it looks the dogs danglies in silver with the blue display. It is a good start for any sound system you want to build around it.
