Radio Reception
#3
Is it an import Subaru?
If so then the car will be fitted with an import radio that uses a +10/-10 frequency difference compared to ours.
Import cars are normally fitted with a "band expander" prior to being sold over here (well good dealers will at least) that alters the frequency by just the right ammount from above so that an import radio will work in the UK.
However, a band expander alone is sometimes not enough for a good reception and you will need a special band expander that not only sorts out the frequency but also boosts the received signal to compensate with the conversion in the frequency range.
MY01 import is the same and i too need to get a better one than i have in now for the very same reason.
Hope this helps..?
