New JDM Sti with Sony head unit CDX MP40 and separate amplifier Kenwood kac 6401.
The system sounds tinny due to poor speakers and door reverberation.
I have had conflicting advice from two Sextons dealers.

One sais replace with Focal 165 v slims at front with SL10W4 sub-woofer in boot = £525.00
The other sais Replace withFocal 165 v slims at front + Focal 130 CA at rear (they say amplifier not good enough to drive sub woofer)= £430.00
Both suggest using 2 rolls of Dynamat to dampen door reverberation.

Advice suggestions welcomed please ?

 

Well I'm having the focals fitted on Monday with an Alpine 9813 (leaving the rears/subwoofer for the moment)...will let you know what the results are like if you want.
