Question

i have just bought an 8inch audiovox active sub and i want to put it in the boot. it needs 4 wire inputs, 2 for +ive and -ive speaker splice and one for positive 12v and one for ground. speaker splice is easy, but i need to know where i can find a 12v in the boot, and also a good earth point. how much space under the rear seats? will it fit there (8inch bass tube)

You'll not find space under the rear seats! It's solid there.

You really are best off running a feed from the battery for the +12 feed. Use 8AWG as a minimum.

For ground, pick a point and sand it back to bare metal after checking there's nothing underneath it (LIKE THE FUEL TANK), then ground there.

You will also need a remote turn on wire from the head unit. This is easy to run.

Good luck!
Nick.
