Question

i collect my myo3 wrx at the end off next month and i want to change the head unit from a double din to a single din. do the single din units go straight into the exsisting space? and is there any problems in fitting two single din units?.

i have heard different rumours about having to trim the dash etc is this true?

many thanks for your help

Generally there is no problem at all. You need to make sure of a couple of things though.

a - that the headunit trim is removeable or fits the dash trim aperture. The headunit is built in place and the dash trim fitted over it, so it's not a 'slide in from the front' unit.

b- that the headunit has screw holes on the side which match up with the brackets in the car. You fit the brackets to the headunit then build the whole thing in to the dash. You can fit another DIN sized unit at this point or a SECS or a storage pocket...
