Question

as far as i know, the only problem with fittin 6inch and 6.5 inch splits in a classic prez is the depth of the speaker. does anyone have an exact measurement of the maximum depth of speaker, i would appreciate any help. also, is there any way to hook my laptop up the the ecu to check boost levels, etc. what cable do i need, what software?

thanks
zak

Hi Zak,

Nairobi eh? Wow! I've been to Mombasa on the way to Diani beach, we never quite made it to Nairobi...

I fitted CDTAudio 6.5s in my MY00 using 12mm mdf on top of the original pod. They're 72mm deep.

For monitoring your ECU, you want Deltadash (which costs money) or some hardware like scoobymonitor (which is next to free) that can talk to your com port.

Cheers,
Nick

A mate had these in his golf, hooked up to an Alpine amp. Not a very warm sound. Very hard. Have a look around mate.
