Just a quick question for a friend....

Does anyone know who makes the factory fit stereo for a MY2000 VW Passat?

Cheers,

John.

If it's a VW Beta or Gamma, it's made by Blaupunkt. Doesn't speak Blaupunkt CD changer language though. Service is done by OE Electronics in the West Country.

Thanks...

That was what i'd been asked... my friend has a Blaupunkt changer knocking about, and asked me if it would work in their passat.

I'm not sure yet what head unit is in, apart from it being a VW factory fit job.

John.

Won't work. Needs original VW or aftermarket with an adaptor from Connects2, etc. He's probably got a Blaupunkt CDC A08 10 disc monster. This is native Blaupunkt, Fiat, Alfa, etc. Not VW.

I had a VW Gamma Radio Cassette in my MK4 Golf same as in some VW Passats.
It was connected to a Panasonic 6 CD changer in the boot.
