not exactly an ICE question but near enough...

I'm looking at getting a Sony NetMD recorder with MDLP. I was wondering if anyone has experienced differing sound quality in the recordings when copying from a decent CD player using the digital cable, compared with the USB cable from a CD-ROM drive?
