Dunno about cheap and reliable but I have a Kenwood front loading DVD/TV/CD/sat nav screen. It is awesome, by far the best on the market. Has a touch screen and loads of funky little features!
Only bad thing is it costs £2,200 for the screen and then another £2,300 for the sat nav!!!

You will be able to get the Kenwood in dash TV KVTM700 for around £800 but you will need to buy a seperate TV tuner or DVD player.
You can also get the one Flying Scotsman is on about (KVT920 i think) for around £13/1400 which has front loading DVD and tv tuner included.
I've got the KVT M700 and like the other one it's the nuts!
