Please does any one no of any good speckers that will fit in front of my sti8. I went to my local ice shop and every thing thay said would fit did not. There must be some one out there who has fitted new speckers? I don't wont to start cutting i just wont to change them over.Don,t mind drilling a few holes thoungh.

12mm MDF spacers are required, and then any number of 6.5" speakers will fit. Check out here . It's a website by a very strange bloke who has occassionally been known to inhabit this forum

so the door panels are the same on 02 and 03 cars?

Im not sure the doors are the same on 02 and 03 cars as I had a hell of a job having speakers fitted in my my03, I eventually landed on infinity 605cs with a 12mm mdf spacer. Not my first choice but for around £90- £100 good value for money and a hell of an improvement over the OEM speakers.

the problems found were, total depth within the door, depth from door to door card and then part of the window assembly getting in the way of wide magnets. so this scuppered a lot of speakers as a lot of the new models of speakers by genesis and focal ect have very raised cones that even if you could get them into the door and the door card back on there was a high chance the cone would buzz against the door card. The next problem was all the "shallower" speakers i found the magnet shape was wider and flatter (hence shallower speaker). and this could not get past the window fixing bolts.

good luck, but there is one speaker I can gurantee will fit Infinity 605cs.

So the 605 are a good specker. Did you fit thm in the back to. And do thay come with tweeters or did you use the ones already in the car.Thanks for that

The 605cs are components so have a woofer and seperate tweeter that replace like for like for the oem units.

these will not fit in the rear doors you are looking at a 5" coaxials for the rear with a mdf spacer, or 4" for a direct fit.

Thats great. Will try and get to shops 2mo and get some. The oem speakers are so bad.

Bought meself a set of O 2 speakers for mine yeasterday..no idea what model but they were £110 ...... not even gonna think about trying to fit them meself .... get a man who can in thats what i say ..... Hope they fit ..haha
