MY01 Standard install ICE questions
#1
Has anybody else experienced their CD skipping every time the car finds a minor imperfection in the road?
I have tried a lens cleaner but it's made little difference.
One option would to be to add a changer unit and use that for CD's.
Where does the changer usually fit, and is there already harness their for power and connecting to the head unit?
I have also noticed that the standard fit equipment for the bug eye sounds a lot better than that fitted in my old classic, which I had to change.
Even so is it worth up grading the standard speakers?
My classic was fitted with infinity speakers and a kenwood head unit.
Any suggestions please.
Graham.

It really shouldn't do that. I couldn't make the standard player in the MY03 skip at all...
Check it's mounted firmly, then clean the discs. I've never used a lens cleaner on my kenwood changer, and that's now 7 years old and plays without a hitch.
If it still is knackered, try the lens cleaner then I'd reckon on buying another unit unless you want to try Subaru's warranty?
Cheers,
NIck.
