Question

Just found out my Kenwood Single DIN doesnt fit my 03MY dash. Its too wide to 'present' itself to the hole. The kenwood body is too wide.

This was fitted 'throught the front' into a cage on my 99MY and fitted perfectly. I see that the new cars are 'from behind' so the clip on surround usually supplied is discarded.

Ideally I want a Double DIN MP3 player, but can't seem to find one. What headunits fit into a 03 properly without looking crap (set too deep or just massive gap)

The OE one is a pretty tidy affair I have to say, but I really miss the convenience of my MP3 cds....

Unfortunatly there i not one in the UK. There are loads in Japan but the radio is wrong and there are no security features. I would not hold yor breath either.

You don't slot it in the hole, you remove the fascia and bolt it into the hole, then refit the fascia...

Sorry if I'm being thick, but it should fit.

"the radio is wrong"...depends on your viewpoint :-).
However, if you don't give a **** about radio, then go for it!! Indeed, most double DIN's don't have security features, but you don't really need that in Japan anyway.

Nearest to a double Din NP3 I've seen is what I have in my MY02. A Blaupunkt Los Angeles MP72 in the top DIN, together with a 5 disc in dash changer in the lower DIN.

Other option is to use a Kenwood/Alpine etc and put a storage pocket in the bottom half.

Ive got a clarion double din unit, very nice and may sell it if i can get good money for it! Its the CLARION ADX5655z, they arent available in UK. Its 45 W x 4 CD/CASS and MD compatible. Fits straight into MY02, is the 03 same as the 03 for stereo?

Il get some pics up later on and put them into the 'for sale section' so look out for it!
