Question

right, i recently purchased two sony 12" xplod subs and a 300w xplod amp, when i got it home i told my mate and he told me that the 300w amp wouldnt do much, so i havnt installed it yet, (hopin 2 take it back unless anyone on here thinks my mate was talkin rubbish. (they are still boxed and sealed)( i payed £150 for all of it, spesh offer), also i have a sony head unit which enjoys turning itself off all the time, it is very tempermental and sumtimes does not even turn on at all, i dont know if any one has had a similar problem, its out of warrenty though :-(. thanks to anyone who replies with some much needed help.

Wink

Sony Xplode...or is it Explodes?

If you have room for a ported box in the boot for the two 12's(around four cubes)the amp will work ok.If you need to run a small sealed box, you'll most likely want more power for decent output. But that depends on what your tastes require too.

Unless there is a problem with the wiring of the hu,(check carefully)I'd say it was time for a new one...
