Ive got a pioneer cd player which sounds good, but i have got some engine noise thought the front left speaker its not altonator noise, the only way to put it in to words its as if you can hear the spark from the spark plug as the taps get faster with the rpm.
Its done it from day one when i brought the car its note really a problem but would be nice to get ride of it.

Cheers

Sounds like you have a bad plug wire in there.

I've had this problem a few times over the years. The plug wires shouldn't touch each other or ANYTHING else under the hood. The pulse can jump through the jacket of the wire and through a heater hose or radiator hose and effecting any stereo wires under the dash near the heater core.Same with any major wires...it will travel through the car on those wires.

A good set of carfully routed supression wires should cure this...if nothing else it's a good part of a tune-up.
Take a look at the wires really close...

Yep, listen to Steve on this one. He da man. . Check both ends of the leads as well. Seems to be more common recently? Wonder if it could possibly be affected by atmospheric conditions too???

You folks had high humidity?

Dielectric grease should be used on all electrical conections outside the cabin.A battery will short itself out from condensation alone...now throw 90,000 volts plus into the wet mess of the ignition system...

Isolation.
