Fuse blowout!
#1
Hello peeps,
Question for the ICE experts out there.
I've recently fitted a new head unit with cd changer. Could this have any relation to repeated interior fan/electric mirror fuse blowout?

If you have used the circuit that provides power to these things then it definitely related. But normally the stereo gets its power from the same circuit as the interior light and the cigarette lighter.
Does your cd player require separate power and earth from the head unit, if so, where does it get its power from.
If the problem is consistent, then give the head units its own power cable from the battery. Only needs to be relatively thin cable. Put a 5 amp fuse on it as close to the battery as possible.
