stupid amp

I have spent allday fitting a new h/u and multiplay
amp and bassbox ,finished had most of it back together
sat in the car for a play around and have no bass
the amp light is on and not flickering,so what could it be
i was thinking maybe a bad earth but not sure
any help appreciated

what head unit have you fitted. If the amp is lighting up unliky to be earth.try a slave set of phono leads and check the setting for the amp

its a kenwood 838,hope its not dodgy rca lead its a
nightmare getting it through the car

Does the H/U have separate Sub control that needs switching on in the menu ?

dont think so as i had to connect to rear rca preout
and have messed about with everything i can find

Turn up the gain on the amp?

Make sure filter set to low pass, and if variable, ensure it sets to about 100hz for starters.

Make sure you have connected the sub speaker wires to the correct terminals on the amp, not always obvious esp. if using bridged mode.

Make sure fader setting on h/u not set to front.

Apologies, as you have probably done all that already.

What amp is it ?

there are a host of settings for the woofer, this should sort you out.

Have you connected the sub remote to the head unit?

it was purple on mine. It's wired in with the RCA lead

yes thats connected,ive been told that scoobys have a bad earth
and to use the one behind the rrear seat where the lights earth
