Got a crossover question...
#1
Hi,
I am new to the board and a new 2003 WRX owner (in the ole USA). First, thanks to all of you for such a wonderful site and welcoming environment! The information here is priceless. I have the following question that I need help with:
I am going to replace the front door component speakers (tweeter and woofer) and the headunit. Where is the OEM Subaru cross-over circuit (i.e., is it in the wiring in the door, in the headunit, under the dash?) for the front speakers and can I reuse it?
Thanks to all of those who have come before me, Keith
PS- Europe gets all the cool cars before the US!!!

I *believe* the x-over is a simple capacitor in-line with the tweeter - have a look at the back of the tweeter to confirm this. Assuming you have tweeters; check, you may be surprised.
No, you can't really reuse it. A decent set of components will have a crossover that is matched to the tweeter/woofer so that will be the better option IMHO
Cheers,
Nick.
