FOCAL SPEAKERS
#2
A few have tried 'em, and love 'em.
There's a new range now at entry level that someone on here has had fitted and thinks are wonderful; that opinion is echoed by the TCA mag...
One thing to watch is the depth. I foresee you having wonderful fun trying to fit 'em.
YOu're in my neck of the woods - drop me a mail if you want a hand.
Cheers,
Nick.

Thanks Nick,
I should be ok but if i'm struggling i'll give you a shout.I'll let you know the verdict when they're in.Should sound good with the Alpine 10' sub box and Infinity 4 Channel amp that are going in as well.
Regards
Paul.

Hi Paul iv'e just had focals fitted all round polyglass 165v coponents in the front and Access 165ca in the rear cracking sound ,very happy. Got the dealer to fit them, he had to make some sort of bracket to fit them in but no probs also had sound deadening fitted in front doors ,a lot better thinking about putting a sub in now.

Scoobyfella,
This is what i've ended up with.I changed my mind about the amp and sub when i saw these at the dealer. Also going on the difficulties people have had fitting the Focals i let Unicar on Kirkstall road,Leeds fit the lot.
Focal Access 165a's in the front doors(separate tweeters custom fitted by Unicar)
JL Audio 10' sub mounted in boot and velcroed into position.
Blaupunkt Velocity VR504 amp mounted to rear of back seats.
Kenwood KDC-6090R head unit.
6 rolls of Dynamat in the front doors.(which now weigh a ton)
The job they have done fitting the above is second to none at a very reasonable price.I'm absolutely delighted with the power and the incredible sound quality.Highly recommended.
If anyone wants a demo and lives nearby give me a shout.
Paul.

why get a Kenwood KDC-6090R head unit.
or do you mean an MP6090R?
Focals are nice speakers, I used to use some a while ago when I was going to compete in sq... then I changed to use rockford due to power handling and price.

David,
I already had the head unit, is ther something wrong with it???
does it not meet with you approval?
To be honest i don't give a toss if it does or not.I'm very happy with the set up.

I have sent David a full apology and fully admit my mistake in getting my wires crossed.
He is a great lad and i have NO excuse for lashing out at him just 'cos i'd had a bad day.
Apologies to all.
Paul.
