Hi i'm looking to buy one of these for my car. Its a mk4 Golf GTI (would be a scoob if i could afford insurance). Anyway, got an autochanger fitted when we bought it. Its just got hte standard head unit though. I was wondering if its worth buying an after-market headunit aswell so i dont have to use the FM modulator thingy. Or does it really make that much difference. Is there anywhere in Aberdeen that anyone would recommend i get to fit it? (have no idea about these things myself). There is room for a double DIN unit but the top half of this is just an empty space right now, i assume the DMP3 remote thing would go there? Thanks

Doesn't take long for Lee to respond to anything with a whiff of Dension DMP3 about it ;-)

1. If you buy through Scoobyshop when it launches, you'll save 10%.

2. No need to change your head unit. We're just about to launch the OE integration kits. We'll be able to plug&play to the standard Golf MkIV head unit (either a Beta or Gamma). Check out this link for an idea of how the adaptor is installed (note, the DMP3 replaces your CD changer). Once installed, the DMP3 powers up/down with the car, plays/pauses as you select/deselect the changer source, responds to FF/RW from the head unit and once you've programmed your "MyRadio" playlists, the first six can be directly accessed from the 1-6 keys on your head unit.

3. We're just finalising a fixed-price installation scheme with RAC Auto Windscreens. In the meantime, any competent auto electrician/ICE shop will be able to do the install in an hour.

4. The DMP3 remote satellite display will easily fit in your spare DIN slot with the included brackets. It's ~4"x1"x0.75".

5. And best of all, the display's blue!

Feel free to email per profile for a more detailed chat or call 0871 871 9747 M-F.

Cheers

Lee.

Edited to add... if you are changing your head unit, the DMP3 will also plug and play with the CD Changer bus on Sony, Alpine MBUS and Blaupunkt head units. Basically, we don't want anyone to have to use FM modulators anymore.

K cool, thanks for the info. Reckon i could get one with one of those OE intergration kits in the next 3 weeks? So they would be £360 through scoobyshop?
