Question

Can someone explain what the LPF and HPF do.

LPF = low pass filter. Allows frequencies lower than the crossover through unimpeded and then filters out stuff above.

HPF = high pass filter. Allows higher stuff thru

The rate of filtration is expressed in dB / octave. Bigger numbers = steeper filtration curve.
