I wish to install my Alpine CDE9822E head unit in my MY98 Subaru Impreza.

How EXACTLY do you remove the original factory deck?. This is a Clarion deck,
and the car is an Australian model.

It looks as though you have to dismantle the
dash by the heater controls. If so, can anyone tell me how exactly?

Also, the Alpine has a 16 pin block connector
at the back. Is it likely that the factory
wiring loom is the same, so the new deck
can be easily plugged in?

Many thanks in advance,

Richie

Cool

Take the gear **** off then pull off the surrounding trim by putting your fingers underneath the gear stick gaiter. The rest of the facia can then be removed and the head unit is held in by 4 screws.
