I need to change the speakers in my STi7, front and rear.
Has anybody done it and do you know the size of both?
And do the door panels come off ok or is it a struggle??

Any info would be really useful and much appreciated.

Front speakers are 6.5", need generally a 12mm MDF spacer to be fitted, as otherwise the magnets will stop the windows oopening fully.

Back speakers are 5.25", most people have struggled to fit them. The only way I found to sort that is to mount the speakers inside the inner door skin with a 6mm MDF mounting plate; unconventional but it works well. I'm hoping to do some pics when I get my hands on a digi cam soon, as I still have never seen anyone else do it.

Chiarks website here has good pics of the front install, and is generally very good.
