Addzest? Clarion?

Has anyone heard of Addzest, as in http://www.addzest.com/ ??
My Jap 95 WRX has an old tape head unit coupled to a six CD changer and speakers, all from Addzest?
Looking at the web site, it appears that Addzest is a Japanese marketing name for Clarion - but I'm not too certain if this is true.
I've not had the chance to get model numbers yet, but can if it'll help!
Anyone???

Yep Addzest are the standard fit stereo's for Jap Import Scoobs, 90% of them will have them as OE fitment.
I think you are also right to say that they are made by Clarion and re-badged.

All Clarions are branded as Addzest in Japan, therefore u cannot buy Clarion branded stuff in Japan. It's the same with Pioneer, they're all branded as Carozzeria.
It's just like Toyota and Lexus, all Lexus cars in Japan are branded as Toyotas, so u cannot officially buy a Lexus over there.
