Question

Silly question, but how do you secure a bass box in the boot of a 4 door without drilling holes everywhere? The carpet is too weak to consider backing that down and the bassbox on top. I was considering using wood boards in a 3-piece, comprising 2 halves at the back to leave room for wheel access, and one at the front with a handle. Anyone else done anything like this?

If the carpet is semi strong (mine is backed), run some strip bracket underneath in the shape of an outline of your box and some mdf strips on the other side. To secure, self tap strip bracket into mdf making and outline on top the the box should sit snugly in. The lip should be enough for it to stop moving around.

If carpet not strong enough, put box in far left or right corner, wedge a correct size piece of MDF between the box and the parcel shelf cros member. If you do it tightly enough it wont go anywhere. That is how mine is done.

If neither of these is suitable, I can definitely vouch for the sound quality of Lee's box, and its very neat.
