bf,

There's instructions for removing the shelf in the FAQ. Bit of a sod, but you'll manage it.

some 6x9s drop straight in, others require metal to be cut. For 8"s, I'd recommend fitting them underneath the existing holes.

The other option is to lose the spare and carry a can of that "fix-you-up-to-get-you-home" squirty stuff.

If you raise the box two inch and let the carpet hang down and support it with velcro at the bottom to stop it flapping about, you can still get the spare out..

This was originally a thread by "BF" - which was an offensive username that's been deleted.

Here's the info that was on it:
From BF
i can anyone give me some ideas about a good install for an amp and coupla 12" subs, i wanna do a good install, but leave enuff room 2 get to the spare wheel....
from Steve McCulloch
I have this sort of set up and can easily get at the spare wheel.

Replaced behind rear seat (bit of crappy material) with a bit of decent wood (covered)

Mounted two Geneseis subs and a 1.5 Farad on this board

Mounted two 12 inch subs (double box) in front of amps in the boot - with a mounting bracket drilled into the metal near the top of boot... all I have to do is undo 2 screws and lift the subs out to get at the Rear wheel.... - i.e not a permanent fixture - so I can remove subs at any time and have the boot space back again!
From BF
cool, thanx, any pix ?
From Twinny
You can find some pix of my amp install in the trunk on this URL: http://pssshh.hjem.no/apps/pbcs.dll/...6020001&Ref=AR
Cheers,
Nick.
