Dumb questions time

Should there be any fitting instructions in the box ?? I’ve had a quick look but can’t see any.

How do you fit the speakers to the plastic carriers in the car, do you fit the metal ring to the plastic carrier then attach the speaker (I suspect this is the right way) or do you put the speaker into the plastic carrier and then put the metal ring on top and screw it all together or do you fit the metal ring to the speaker then screw it all to the plastic carrier.

I haven’t actually looked properly at the bits yet hence the probably silly question.

IIRC - attach metal ring on to door, then screw speaker into metal ring

Ok I downloaded a set of instructions, they confirmed where everything goes.

So do I just fix the metal rings directly to the door frame or do I keep the existing plastic basket in place and fit the metal ring to it, the second option will require a bit of tweaking but it looks to be the right way to go.

Forgot to say that the car is a MY96.
