Hi Chip
I put in a standard "box" below the stereo - sourced from the dealer. I gather its the same one that is used as a standard part on Scoobies that come with a single DIN stereo.
Its OK - leans back nicely so its very useful for putting sunglasses in without worrying about them starting to fly around every five minutes.
If no-one posts before I'll take a piccy when I get home and post it.

Yes. I needed a "converter" lead that took the connectors from the loom (for the standard headunit) and converted them to the Sony required one.
I got it from a local car audio shop for about 15 quid.

Have you got a part number for the tray by any chance? The spares dept at my dealers don't seem to be able to function without one.
Reminds me of the cartoon - it's no good pointing at it, if it's not on the compouter we can't sell it....

Well after a fairly lengthy call to the dealer (you'd have thought they could look up what they've sold you quickly!)
Part Number : 66128AE000
...I'd check it when you order it...

I had the same thing with my dads' mx5 a few years ago when I put in an apline cd to replace the doudle din standard junk. Autoleads do a box that is single din size - halfords do them for about a tenner I think.

I don't get it, I'd be more than happy to have a double DIN in my MY99 and you guys are going back to single DIN's?? :-))
I would like to put one of those :
Can play about everything and costs as much as a normal MP3/Cd player in Europe
