Eeek, glad I got mine this year.
The Super Streets are very good for those who want coilovers suitable for road use, and if you get EDFC (you should) it takes all the fuss out of adjusting damping settings!
Are you offering a discount on the EDFC unit too, Bren?

We will discount anything from Tein. We are never going to able to do huge money off sdtrut braces, S Tech springs and the like as we can only give a %age off rrp but when it comes to the more expensive coilovers you can save hundreds
Just for peeps info heres something I posted on another forum after someone noted that Tein are daft to put prices up in the current economic climate. Its not so black and white, they have no choice:
As has been said above, Teins come from Japan and the exchange rate has dropped from 215 JPYEN to the Pound to its current rate of 135JPYEN to the Pound.
http://www.exchange-rates.org/Chart....e=G&filter=180
This means that Tein Japan are now effectively recieving nearly 40% less revenue for every product sold in the UK.
Hence the price increase.
Youll find a huge raft of price increases coming in 2009 from a whole host of suppliers. Most manufacturers outside the UK have been earning less and less profit on each and every UK sale as the year has rolled forward. Not only has the Pound lost massive value in comparison to the JPYEN but also to the worlds main form of currency, the US Dollar.
http://www.exchange-rates.org/Chart....e=G&filter=180
Youll also note that the Pound is also screwed again the Euro:
http://www.exchange-rates.org/Chart....e=G&filter=180
What this means for Europeans outside the UK is cheapy cheap stuff from the UK so some good will come to some people
What it all amounts to is that pretty much anything bought from anywhere outside the UK has under gone a vast price increase meaning that just about every parts distributer in the UK, be them retail or wholesale, will either lost profit or will have to increase prices to compensate.
Some of us (ahem) have negated these problems so although some of the parts we supply are effected (we no longer do ACT clutches and just about everything from Japan has gone up to silly money) youll find that a hell of lot of what we done is still within managable limits and that price increases have been negated or kept to an absolute minimum

and this is in the group buy section because?
i thought any increase in prices here in the uk would be down to the distributers having to pay more to there suppliers outside the uk due to the currency rate, not the suppliers putting prices up aswell.
for example if you look at the price of cars in Jap auctions they havn't changed but the exchange rate, sterling to yen has, making the cars more expensive
and just to add your current price for the s-tech springs is more than £20 above what i'v seen advertised on the internet

stigaz,
I havent seen any request from you for a quote so Im not sure where you are getting my offer price from?
Sorry, Ive just looked through my pms and see that I read yours but havent replied. I must have opened it and then got distracted with a phone call or similar and shut the browser down at a later time without noticing that I hadnt replied.
Ive replied now.
We close today, we reopen on the 5th of January by which time it will be too late to get in on the current prices so its now or never Im afraid.

We are looking at placing an order for a number of kits at the current prices so might have them available at the current prices for the beginning of next year until stocks have gone.
