Default APS Front Mount Intercooler - Possible Group Buy

Would anyone here be interested in a group buy on these?

Need to get at least 3 to get a good price.... through Mocom Racing

This is a fantastic FMIC and will do a great job at charge cooling with increasing lag too much.

Professionally engineered performance for 350 - 525 horsepower applications

Unlike other systems that require cutting of structural components at the front of the vehicle, APS has designed the D/R Series FMIC with a truly bolt-on replacement unit that not only maintains the structural integrity of the vehicle, but also forms the perfect mount to accommodate the largest FMIC available for a WRX and STI. Even the stock fog lights are retained!

This provides the maximum cooling capacity and engine performance and of course, killer looks. With intercooler core dimensions of 9.375" x 33.5" x 3.25" for a surface area of over 314 square inches and a total intercooler core volume of 1,020 cubic inches.

The APS intercooler core is of internally finned construction and offers significantly enhanced flow and heat exchange performance over the standard intercooler and other front mount intercooler systems, particularly at high charge air mass flow rates. Also, unlike other manufacturers of WRX intercoolers who reduce cost by using deeper cores of small frontal area, the APS D/R Series intercooler is designed with the optimum ratio of intercooler core surface area (over 314 square inches!) to intercooler volume (1,1020 cubic inches). The result is an intercooler system with outstanding flow and cooling performance, particularly at high engine horsepower levels.

Available in Stealth Black or STI Silver

As soon as there is enough interest I will be able to confirm a price but RRP is normally around £1000 + vat but these are 'proper FMIC's and not the normal ebay specials that can actually be worse than the original TMIC.

Looking to get these ordered in July/August if enough interest - 4 week delivery

Possibly the best FMIC going? I'd like to know the price before committing, but for the time being I shall say put me down.

Same here - I have always been dead against FMIC's because people fit rubbish.

These are quality items that work.

List is provisional at the moment.

That's exactly it, these FMIC are not cheap, they hardly lose boost, and most importantly, they will fit with minimal effort - and WORK WELL Think I'll have mine in Stealth Black too

How much is not too much, any ideas?

I don't want any more lag and was going to steer away from FMICs altogether but I gotta ask

Sorry mate you misunderstand, I wanted to know how much more lag these will create.

Are there any figures for boost, revs or output when compared to standard?

Put me down for the provisional list, i'm pretty intrested in one of these (price dependent of course) , now i've been able to get on their site to see whats involved with fitting .
Could they also supply the CAIK and the duel vent blow off valve at good prices?
Not sure of the hose clips supplied in the kit, may have to get something a bit beefier!
Cheers

A decent hybrid is good for 450bhp. Proven.

Depends what your power gains are and how much you want to spend. Over 500bhp, loads of spare dosh, then great, got APS/Hyperflow etc.

Don't write off the hybrid type intercoolers - they do a good job at a very good price.
