Im buying a stage 2 axis racing bottom end this week, would be interested in getting a few of us together to make a group buy, may save money on shipping costs if nothing else?? Could do to see how many people are interested fairly quickly tho, as my cars in bits at the tuners already and waiting for it.....

I seen a group buy for axis racing the other week, where did it go???

Ill do some research today, make enquiries and see what prices i can come up with. Not sure if i would want to / am allow to run a group buy tho?? Got nowhere to have everything shipped to and its quite a lot of responsibility to organise to be honest.

See what i come up with tho chaps.

I sent an e-mail earlier today but havnt got a reply as yet. Would expect to recieve one tomorrow sometime. Will post it up when i recieve.

Just looking on their site and a stage 2 short block motor will set you back $2299 which, with the current exchange rate is approx £1200. I think thats a pretty fair price, hopefully with a discount on the motors or shipping costs then maybe we could be looking at this figure 'all in' hopefully.

WHat are the rules of running a group buy?? Uni-ink, thanks for the oofer mate, when i get some details i will pass them onto you if you do fancy running this??

Ok guys i have a reply from Ron at axis racing:

Stuart,

Yeah, I lurk around on that forum from time to time but never post up. Just checking about really.

I can do the stage 2 blocks for $2100 each if you buy 5 or more. Shipping for one block to any UK international airport is about $300 each, but if you do more than 3 then it gets a little cheaper, like maybe only $250 each or so. That is before you VAT is added of course.

I will also offer Cometic head gaskets to fix the high cr problem when using the 2.5 blocks with 2.0 heads for $125 per pair and offer ARP headstud kits for $175 each.

I can also supply factory Subaru gasket sets for $300 each, which is a lot cheaper than what you guys normally pay.

Ron

If anyone car throw some light on the import tax then id appreciate it as i know nothing about this???

The engine works out to be $2475 inc vat then Postage on top of this price. Do you pay VAT on postage costs??

I believe you do.

by my reckoning, for the full monty above, with some carefull packaging, and a big ol slice of good fortune at customs, this could be £1800 odd door to door, very nice.
