upgraded 70mm Throttlebody.
Hi all ,
I have brought myself a very nice looking aluminium 70mm throttle body , (6mm bigger than standard )
It will fit all GD EJ20 ENGINES.
Just posting to see if anyone would be interested in these? The larger order we could get the cheaper they would cost to make!

Just measured this on here and it is 71mm .... Will check the standard one on the car tom ...
You would have had the hose for the outside ..... this is the inlet size

Totally depends on how many we make... I paid £250 for this one from Japan...
Just need anyone interested to get there name down , I understand If these are too dear people won't buy them,
They can also be anodised any colour

Hi ,
Right a ball part figure is going to be £150 as there is a lot of work involved!
This include's all parts anodised any colour... not including the stainless shaft through the middle , the butterfly or the spring...
Let us know what you think

I Think classic throttle bodies were 59 mm inner diameter, and can be CNC machined out to 64 mm and a new butterfly fitted, to give several ( 30% was quoted ) more air flow potential!
I recall there is a step in the inside of the throttle body which narrows the diameter?
EDIT:
DOH... I Think Mine Is a GC Engine Type so NOT the sort you are doing!!!
Question on these new ones - do all the usual sensors, water hoses, cables and emissions stuff still fit? Are they direct bolt on ( apart from possible remap ? )
I have a short throttle body that I cut down by 10mm to fit a big STiV TMIC to my 94 classic. So could be looking for new throttle body ( wider internally prefferred! ) if it fits and all std bits fit to it!
My car is classic wagon import 1994 ish, with throttle cable on n/s of throttle body - would this fit?

Hi all .
I have a lovely red manifold at the factory ready to test these on...
As soon as I get back from my Holiday, I will be able to test my sample one on them to see if anything needs to be modified or not,
These have larger bore on im cookie so they will allow more air to get through, creating more power,
I am hoping to get the first batch ready for me to take to the shootout end of May but there is lots of parts to make so I may be pushing it..
Should be able to answer everyones questions soon,
Chris
