Default Poss Group Buy on K&N Typhoon cold air kit

In talks at the mo about setting up a group buy with CDFracing, for the above kit.

These retail on Ebay for around £195 + delivery

If we could get 10 together we should be able to squeeze them down to £150

These are for newage only I'm afraid.

"Estimated Horsepower Gain: 11 HP @ 4100 RPM" - taken from K&N website also looks the part.

There should also be a choice of colour available

"text removed"

Do fancy one, but I'm in 2 minds about them, was told/read that use an induction kit, bought one, next read/told no use a green panel filter, bought one now its a CAI kit!! Is it not just an excuse to spend money each time off the suppliers !!

I am also interested!

I have read/heard that cai kits can cause problems with the maf? Any comments?
Can I pop it on without a remap and still see gains and run smoothly?

as far as i know you should be ok without remap, however to get the best out of any mod you should have it mapped.

I have been running an induction kit on my newage wrx for 2 years without map, and its fine

Come on guys get your names down top bit of kit here for not a lot of money

i've heard alot about induction kits killing the MAF sensor on 02wrx so its best to just stick to green panel up grades etc........how much truth is there in this.

150 quid is a wicked price and i'm getting my car ready for its first remap so i'd like a wee bit more info if anyone can help

I would be supprissed if you can get them for 150 even ten units direct from K&N would be a fair bit more.

better results can be had if pladed in the inner wing, and a cold air feed fed to it.
