Wilwood 6 Pot Big Brake Kit Group Buy
I've been searching for a decent brake upgrade for a while now. My first choice would obviously have been AP 6 pots but I couldn't really run to £1500 so I've been looking at alternatives.
Incase you haven't already heard of them Wilwood are an American company that have been making competition brake for over 30 years. They are very popular over there but little heard of in the UK because they only have a single UK dealer. There are a few people using them on Scoobynet, and all comment I've seen have been brilliant.
They do this absolutly lush 6 pot kit for any Impreza which comes with everything ready to bolt on. Thats the 6 pot calipers, disks, bells, pads and optional hoses. They will fit any Impreza with 17" wheels.

17" wheels are needed for these.
Anyway I tried just about every stockist of them over there and been in contact with them a few times and after alot of calculations I've hit upon a figure of £879.50 if I order 12 kits. This is at todays ex rate so I'm calling it a nice round £900 to cover any fluctuation in the exchange rates.
This fiqure includes the optional braded lines which they agreed to throw in free (normally £60). It also includes the hurrendous postage costs (despite being very light for what they are, all brakes are very heavy) and an exact fiqure I've been quoted by customs for import duty etc. The Wilwood UK dealer sells these kits for more than £1200 so its still a hefty saving.
Postage will be to one location (my house/work) and if you need it posting on it'll probably be another £20 but we can sort this out once they're here.
I'd prefer to get the money in via paypal as once we've all paid I can then transfer the money to the company in the states but I'm sure something else can be arranged if necessary.
Obviously I'll be holding a great deal of your money so to put your mind at ease most of the southerners know me well enough as I'm chairman of Scoobycity. For verification see this thread on my club where I am running the group buy aswell.
Disks are 13" (330mm) and they're groved only, not drilled and groved as shown in the pics. Drilled was available as a rather expensive option but I'd rather keep things simple and costs the same for everyone.
Theres a choice of three pads.....
"E" Compound - High temp / Track
"Q" Compound - Fast Road
BP-10 Smart Pads - The BP-10 is an all-new type of metallic composite friction pad compound. It possesses the medium to high temperature range friction characteristics of a metallic compound race pad, with the quieter engagement, lower dust, and positive low temperature response of a street performance pad.
I already have two others so please get your name down quickly as I really don't want the hassle of running more group buy on these in the future. Add your name and choice of pad below if you're interested. Once we have the 12 I will contact each of you for payment details.

Oh and I'd best point out these are race spec calipers and do not have the usual dust seals found on most road brake set-ups. However I have searched and asked everyone possible whether this has ever caused problems but have not found a single case where it has.
Just give them a regular clean whenever you clean your car and all should be fine.

Thats good group buy price.
Retail in USA is around $1000-$1200 i believe but you will most likely be get stung with heavy shipping and import costs so damn good price

Hi Benno,
They're measured in inches over there but they roughly equate to 330mm / 30mm
If you need to be more exact let me know and I'll see what I can find out.

In an attempt to speed this up (we need 6 more) I've put the 6 remaining kits on Ebay with a buy it now price of £900 and the uk postage of £30 so it'll work out about the same.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MESE%3AIT&rd=1
Just thought I'd warn those already down so they don't buy them off there.

OK firstly massive appologies for the delay on this but things have been rather hectic since my return from holiday.
Its looking good with only one more payment to come in but I can safely place the order without it.
One point I over looked is the fact that the robbing barstewards called Paypal take a wopping £34 off each of your payments so my wallet could end up taking a hit but thats my fault and I did allow a bit extra for currency fluctuations so hopefully it won't be too much.
I only just paid the two cheques in I recived so I'll just have to wait for them to clear before I place the order. Will uodate again next week when this happens.
Once again, sorry for the delay but hopefully it won't be too much longer and we'll all be stopping on a sixpence

All the money was safely transfered from paypal (the robbing *******s) to my account last week and on Friday I transfered the money to the USA. Fortunatly the exchange rates are really good at the mo so it will hopefully cover my losses from the paypal charges.
I spoke to my contact in the states to confirm the money is on its way and he said (understandably) he would rather wait to see it go in before he orders them all.
I must admit I assumed he'd have them in stock and didn't concider this delay but I suppose that is alot of money to have sitting around on the shelf. Anyway he estimates 1-2 weeks for him to get them but only 4-5 days delivery to us. Realistically we're now looking at the begining of next month now. Hope this hasn't caused to much disappointment.
Will update next when they're finally on thier way to us in a couple of weeks.

Just got off the phone to the supplier in the states and they were delivered to them today. They will be sent out tomorrow so should be arriving in the uk some time next week
