Exclamation Any Interest In SX 15404 Regulators?

I'm looking at importing a couple of these for myself. Shipping costs are obviously quite high so the more purchased the cheaper they get, for me and you. All being well with a nudge here and wink there HM Customs won't notice a thing.

They are bare regulators and do not come with the Impreza fitting kit but it isn't hard to locate the parts. For quick installation Pirtek can supply the 6AN/push-fit fittings for a few quid each and the rail adaptor is available from FSE. They are available in red, blue, purple or black.

Cost for the regulators in various quantities below, beyond 5 the price remains the same:

3 regulators - £90.00 each + domestic delivery + PayPal fees (4%)
4 regulators - £87.50 each + domestic delivery + PayPal fees (4%)
5 regulators - £85.00 each + domestic delivery + PayPal fees (4%)

Delivery is £2.50 via Royal Mail Standard Parcels or £4.50 Recorded Delivery upon arrival at mine.

Just for the cynics i'm not doing this to try and make a profit. Just seeing if i can save myself and some others some cash. I'd need payment via PayPal almost right away and i'd hope to have the regulators with you mid July.

Anyone interested? I'd like to know definite numbers by Friday evening if possible.

Over 1/2 of the guys over here ( drillship, Bay of Bengal, India) are big time petrolheads and reckon I can get them for similar money each with no minimum order but you'll have to wait until my return to the UK in September.

Nice to see someone trying to help the communty

Russell

ps - Carl, I think David Sim was looking for one?

Yeah, the prices above include domestic recorded delivery on top of the intial shipping so they'd come in cheaper for those who could collect. I'll mail David now, not sure if Gavin has come through for him yet or not.

There is no minimum order as such, it just gets cheaper as more are ordered. The supplier has all colours in stock and we can have as many as we like now although initial interest seems surprisingly low?

Hi Carl, Been thinking of getting an SX for a while now and found some good prices in US. Is this the high pressure one? Apparently there's a low pressure version too. Does the price include guage?

Anyway, if it is HP I'm in please

PS, thought you were selling your Scooby or is this for the new project?

Hi Gerry. This is the 90 PSi reg (base pressure not max). There is another popular billet regulator which is the Aeromotive one (looks almost identical to SX) but has a suggested maximum base pressure of 70PSi.

No gauge supplied with the reg but they can be had fom FSE for just under £20 although i've been looking for a cheaper alternative for the past 20mins.

Scoob is gone but i need a reg for another project. Figured i may as well get one for the next Impreza project too.

Guage isn't a problem but I don't know if the vibrations are bad enough for the need to be glycerol filled though. Most of the stuff has run out of mine anyway when the rubber bung went missing.

Could try Wika guages, they do a good industrial range. Do you know what the thread sizes are?

If there's not enough interest on here, I'll post on 22B & SIDC if you like.

Another project eh?

I'm of a similar opinion Gerry. The fact non-liquid filled gauges can be had for peanuts is also tempting. Thread size is really the lowest denominator to me as i'd turn/tap a hole in the SX Wallis-style anyway.

I take it it's the 213.53 you're looking at Gerry? Struggling to navigate their site, keep getting thrown back into the German one - must be time for sleep!

I haven't looked too closely but that's the sort of thing, there's plastic and brass cased versions too. May get a chance of ringing a few suppliers tomorrow, after a kip G'Night

My last few imports have been siezed by customs, and they have asked for evidence of the payment amount, so beware.

Thanks Paul. It seems when i ask people to waive the insurance and declare the value on the package as being $10 they clear customs ok. Obviously you are then taking the chance that the package will arrive. For a £100 saving it's a chance i don't mind taking.

Still no interest?

There's a couple teeter-tottering so looks as though we may be in for £85 a piece.

Please beware that if HM Customs do catch on the duty will have to be split evenly amongst the regulators. I'd estimate this to be an absolute maximum of £20 but i'm sure we'll be ok. If this does happen the amount will be payable prior to domestic shipping.

Just tried a supplier for gauges. 40mm dia, black metal case, 1/8" BSP back entry, 0-7 bar g. Not glycerine filled. Price for 5 = £6.00 ea. + VAT + del.

Standard Delivery = £91 via PayPal (carl@gc8.co.uk)
Recorded Delivery = £93.08 via PayPal (carl@gc8.co.uk)

Regarding the gauges Gerry i'm feeling more inclined towards glycerine filled ones again - just thinking back to all the buggered 40mm non-liquid filled gauges i've seen at work...

I know what you mean, needle tend to get dislodged from the spindle :O

I'll have a go at Wika and see what they can do but it'll be more than six quid a throw

When do you want payment?
When will you place order
When are they likely to be here?

Cheers
Gerry
PS Shame there weren't more takers at almost half price

Payment today would be nice and the order will be placed as soon as all the money is in my PayPal account. Like i said, hopefully they will be here but the time i get back from my next trip offshore (6th July). Allow a few days for me straighten out my head (moving house) and get them all forwarded on and we're into mid-July.

Group buy is still very much open for any others for the time being.
