Powerstation Headers/manifold and Up pipe Group buy
OK guys, to kick start the new username we are thinking of doing a group buy on our headers.
These are top quality stainless steel, equal length, double slip jointed, tig welded inside and out and have two bungs situated in the top of the up pipe for both lambda and exhast gas temperature probes (we're not supplying the probes )
Price wise, depending on interest, they would be in the region of..
for 5 orders we do them at £395 + vat + postage
for 10 orders we'd do them for £350 + vat + postage
for 15 orders we'd do them for £325 + vat + postage
Postage would be £12.00 approx
Who's in.
Oh yea, suppose you want some photo's too

I would be interested in what this means to torque figures on a car?
For example my MY03 STi currently 329bhp with 316 Ib/Ft torque. What kind of difference could I expect to see? Would the torque remain the same but be delivered earlier, would the torque figure rise etc etc?
Its all well and good to advertise a nice shiny header but i'm kind of interested in the difference it will make, too many times have people been hood winked into purchasing without knowing the actual difference which can be expected.
Oh and it pulls like a train and is much better is not the kind of answer im looking for
Before and after torque curves perhaps? much more likely to gain a sale then a pic of a shiny part. Mind you this is a subaru part so shiny is probably the btter option
Regards
Gary
Oh and would the car need re-mapping again? I guess so, so this is something worth bearing in mind people !!

The back to back testing we did showed a gain in torque of 25 Ft/Lb over standard throughout the whole rev range, throttle response is much improved, this smoothness is evident through the gearstick, pedals and gerarally all round the cabin...
Peak power remained the same.
The headers are made by X force.
If we have graphs I'll see if we have them but it was done on our old dyno and the software has since been updated, resulting in a loss of all the old graphs and in the move to here in Tewks the paper trail has also been lost.....
In an ideal world you should have the car remapped.... but hey.

my graph with a 02wrx with sports cat in the dp headers and vf35 so not a million miles away from yours - there are allot of guys with a simular spec to mine but none with the torque figures some 40 ish ft lbs extra on mine combined to scooby Chrissys on the same roller - biggest diference was the headers
not sure how the STI cams will do with the equal length better ask your mapper ( mine was mapped with )

Im thinking that to safely get the best from the car with the headers on a remap would be required. Without I dont think you would see the torque gains described.
It must be the right way to go though as the Spec C wears this type of header from new.
Thanks for the explanation though.

Pressures and pulses from all the exhaust ports are equalised due to the headers equal length nature, the tubular headers are also much more free flowing than the standard cast items which instantly makes the engine more efficient....
More gains and a margin of extra safety would be achieved from a remap yes.

Hi Andy
Very tempted by this as looked at them on Friday when was down with Roy. They are works of art!
Good to meet you too. Can you keep me posted on numbers and price. Would like the bumpsteer and fitting of headers all done on the same day....special price available?

Bumpsteer would be the normal £120 +vat I expect.
As above on the fitting, we'd do the fitting at a special discount of £100, sticking my neck out I'd assume this included gaskets.
No one has actually put their names down for a set yet
Surprised really as even if only five people make it a goer it's a saving of £100 on the retail price !!!

Would you mind Norwegian customers (2 or more) on this group buy?
If so, you have at least 2 confirmed orders

No problem on overseas customers Hmhaga.
This GB only applies to the headers above, as we don't do any other type.
Yes they would fit the Forester STi Ricardo, it's the same engine under the bonnet after all.
