hi mate,

Is it pat doing the mapping?and can this be done on the road as it must be more in the real world than on the rollers,Oh and of course it will be even cheaper as not interested in figures, more what it drives like.

Cheers

As a newbie scoobie owner, is the Tek3 an addon chip, or is it just a fancy name to remapping the std ECU already on my car? I think I would prefer to keep the standard ECU if this is possible as I have heard that the MY99 can be remapped successfully. Any thoughts ppl?

Scooby Clinic also do the EcuTek for the classic (pre-97) for £385+vat. Do you know if they could also offer a similar discount on these units if some classics were to join the group buy?

Why are these EcuTek remaps including 2 hours RR time, surley that should be included in the remap cost. Look back at some of the previous group buys and no one was charging RR time.

Been in contact with ScoobyClinic today after a good response on my last thread .

10 or more people required for this group buy !!

Details are : £500 +vat for Tek3 remap groupbuy (Normally £650+vat) and two hours rolling road time at £65 per hour+vat (Normally £75 per hour+vat).I must stress that 2 hrs roller time is the absolute max time required and average time is 1 hr , so you will be given back £65+vat !!! phew

Total : £630 +vat with 2 hrs rolling road
or
Total : £565 +vat with 1 hr rolling road (Average time quoted by clinic)

Scoobyclinics Reply to me via email :-

Andy
Yes , very interested we can match the tsl and extreme group buy price
for the tek3 remap if you get ten or more people involved the only added
cost you would incure is rolling road time but this is advantages to your
selves as you will get a lot more accurate, safe and powerfull map when
being mapped on the rolling road if you give us a ring we will be able to
sort a deal out on the roller time prices as well! thanks for your enquiry.
andy at scooby clinic. End of email

As mentioned above I need at least nine other Scoobys for the group buy for the saving of £170 .

To confirm you must :-
1:Add your details to this thread (Name,Mods,Deposit payed y/n)

2:Contact ScoobyClinic direct on 01246 590807 and speak to either Adam or Andy qouting "Andy Masseys Group buy", sort out date of your mapping session and leave a £50 deposit.

3: PM or email Andym4ssey@aol.com me ur details inc Reg number
Once I get the nod from Scoobyclinic I'll close the group buy.

Cheers All and be quick !!!!

Scooby Clinic also do the EcuTek for the classic (pre-97) for £385+vat. Do you know if they could also offer a similar discount on these units if some classics join the group buy?

Depends on how well the group buy is marketed. The quicker we get 10 people then the quicker levers can be pulled to arrange dates.
It all revolves around first getting 10 together.

Only need another 4

Are you a standard uk ? Think you really need to go for the turbo back system to make the most out of the Tek3 with regards to power. You are better giving them a call to get a tech answer though.

They set the car up on the rollers for the initial map and then take the car on the open road to finish it off!!!
Best of both worlds really

Please feel free to correct me if im wrong but me thinks that the scoobyecu map is a piggyback unit which works with your existing ecu and the Tek3 remap is the original ecu entirely remapped to suite your aftermarket mods . ????

Can anybody add ??

Ecutek is the company that make the software to REMAP std ECU's.

Tek 1 is a base map
Tek 2 is a tweaked base map
Tek 3 is a custom map

All Tek/Ecutek maps are applied to a std ECU (and are not piggyback ecu's)

Ecutek do not make software to tune the pre99 cars with, AFAIK, that is a replacement/piggyback ECU that Pat has made (or scoobyecu has made)

Quick Reply: TEk3 remap @ Scoobyclinc Groupbuy.
